Green Field Churrascaria! After coming back from our families 3 week vacation to the Philippines, this was our first Pay Day Yelp Dinner! It usually is 6 of us Myself, Andreana(My girlfriend), Rod(My brother), Christian(My cousin), Katie(My sister) And Edward(My sisters boyfriend). Basically every time we get paid at our jobs, which usually falls on a Thursday, we decide to yelp a place to eat for dinner, and then decide on which day we will go. So being the beginning of Lent, Wednesday we weren’t allowed to eat meat, and then there’s today(Friday) no meat as well! So we had to do it on Thursday, Im not complaining because well, lets just say I threw a tantrum on Wednesday because my body needed meat! This would be my everyone’s first time to this Restaurant, except for my brother. I’ve had Amazon Brazilian BBQ over in Fullerton, probably 4 times and hey I think its good. Right when you pull up to Green Field, they offer complimentary valet parking, with the exception of tips of course! When you first walk into Green Field, its again a welcoming feeling, a wall of water is seen when you first walk in, it really puts you into a calm state of mind, its like they know you must become calm first before you go into beast mode with all the meat! The moment you turn the corner, you see a wonderful view of their diner layout, seeing tables, the salad buffet bar, as well as a art work near the roof. Here is the best advice I have for you when you decide on coming here, or to well any Brazilian BBQ restaurant.

  • Come Starving!!!!
  • Don’t eat too much at the salad/buffet bar…you’re there for the meat!!

If you haven’t been to a Brazilian Bbq  house before, its a fun experience. Each table has this like block…umm..toy…stop light looking thing. Its pretty obvious what it does, if you flip it with the green facing the ceiling, waiters will walk by with what looks like a sword on their right hand, a cutting knife and small little plate on their left hand, post up at the end of your table, mention what meat he has to offer, and basically if you want it he will cut it for you. You can tell that it just came out of the grill, the moment the waiter cuts into the meat, smoke covers that small little area. Of course when you have had your fill on meat, and everyone is full, you flip the toy block thingy with the red shooting up to the roof. The waiters will just walk by your table, knowing you are full, pretty simple. If you and your party are in the middle, enjoying the meat you have on your plate, and/or just don’t know if you want to keep eating, or if you are finished, just flip it onto its side, and it will clearly show yellow. Green Field has mouth watering meat, everything is juicy and seasoned to perfection, if you come here thinking it will be cheap…think again. Be prepared to spend about $50.00 a person, that’s including a drink and dessert, it may be cheaper if you don’t want dessert! Below are two pictures of what I described of the look of the restaurant.

Now on to the food!!!!!!

The Salad/Buffet Bar:

The salad bar had a lot of different types of pasta, as well as make your own salad. It ranged from sliced tomatoes, cucumbers, baby corn…which by the way I grabbed like 4 scoops of baby corn! My girlfriend loved one of the pasta’s, probably because it had olives in it, with I believe covered with Vinaigrette. To the left of the salad bar was the buffet line, it had a good range of different kind of Brazilian food. Two different kinds of rice, but the main thing I saw and had my eyes on was the Deep Fried Bananas, ill get more into that at the end!

The Meat!!!:

Lamb And Bacon Wrapped Turkey

Garlic And Pepper Steak

Tri Tip..BOMB!!

Skirt Steak

Top Sirloin

The meats here at Green Field Churrascaria, again as I described was cooked and seasoned to perfection! The first two meats that were offered to us, was I believe sausage and chicken, the chicken was seasoned well, and was really juicy, not even a hint of dryness in it. The sausage was amazing too, many different flavors in the sausage, really tasty! Second round of meat they offered was Lamb and Bacon wrapped turkey, my cousin and Edward tried the lamb, and they didn’t like it, they said it tasted like grass and goat, what I tried to explain to them before they tried Lamb, so i warned them! The bacon wrapped turkey was amazing! The salt from the bacon, mixed with the flavor and juice of the turkey was a perfect mixture. The nice chewy-ness of the turkey, and the crunch from the bacon was just Yum! After that the next waiter brought over garlic steak and also pepper steak, I think all six of us made sure we had one of each. Those two were amazing, again not dry at all and perfectly seasoned. I preferred the pepper over the garlic one though, just for the fact the pepper is a really amazing balance to have on steak.  After that one, was the serving of top sirloin, that was my brother and cousin’s favorite for the night. I preferred to have the outside of the sirloin, for its cooked more, and as you can see on the picture, my brother loved the meat more inside, its still pink and bleeding!!! But that’s flavor to some people! The top sirloin, pretty much melted in your mouth! After that was the skirt steak, which was my sisters favorite because it was pretty much cooked well done, and she wasn’t too big on seeing the pink or blood. The skirt steak wasn’t anything special to me. After that was my favorite meat delivery, and that was the trip tip, and I believe it was my girlfriends favorite also. It had the best seasoning taste to me, a good crunch on the outside of the meat, and then you get to the meat itself, your mouth its like a wave crashing into the sand, meaning the seasoning mixing with the juice from the meat. I literally almost fainted!!! The last two meats they brought were the beef ribs, and also beef brisket. Both were really good as well!

Guarana Brazilia

This was probably the best thing to wash down the meat! Guarana Brazilian soda, it was pretty much like ginger ale mixed with fruits. My girlfriend said it reminded her of Welches Grape Soda, but seriously this reset my mouth to make sure I got different tastes of each meat, and well this drink made my burps sound like a monster!

Dessert:

Dessert Cart

Red Velvet

Carrot Cake

Deep Fried Banana...THE BEST!

Here is a hint before you think that the dessert comes with the meal, don’t do what did and got a cake for each of us, then found out that they charged us. I guess in a way it was our servers fault for not mentioning it to us that it wasn’t part of the meal! Overall, that made me make sure I finished all the dessert, first off the Red Velvet cake, was soft and fluffy, it seriously probably was the best red velvet cake I have ever had. The carrot cake wasn’t anything special, I did love the fact that it was moist, and had a good crunch from random cake and nut’s that were mixed in the cake. On a serious note, the best dessert for me is the Deep Friend Banana, it was pretty much like a Churro with a banana inside! I seriously had 5 of them, no joke!

Ssp’s Final Thoughts:

Green Field Churrascaria, has now earned its spot for best Brazilian BBQ. Yes, I know I’ve only been to two counting this one, but it does taste better than Amazon. Dont forget to order the Guarana Soda because seriously it is tasty, Im actually asking around to see where I can get a 6 pack! Also dont forget about those deep fried bananas, its mouth watering!!! Readers, if you ever are making your way here, please let me know, ill give you some money to bring me some deep fried bananas back to me…yea they are that good! Dont judge me =P…Hope you all enjoyed my venture to Green Field Churrascaria!!
